Yes . 100%
After an adjustment most people feel more relaxed and can help people get through their stressful times. I would also recommend exercising as well.
Yes. Reducing stress on the nervous system produced by misalignments of the spinal column can help to reduce your overall stress.
Excellent question! One that I am glad to answer. Stress is a recognized variable in diagnosing, managing, and prognosis musculoskeletal conditions; chiropractic care successfully manages stress-related visceral requirements. It may be helpful for chiropractors to include stress management as a clinical care option.
Chiropractic care can help with some of the effects of stress; muscle tension, headaches, pain, etc. This is because there is clinical evidence that when people have chronic muscle tension, their brains perceive that they are under stress. Stress equals tension, therefore, tension equals stress. Plus, constant pain is stressful. Chiropractic care should be a part of stress management. Additionally, it is equally important to determine what the stressors are in your life. Once accomplished, change or eliminate as possible. Other lifestyle choices are helpful; exercise, relaxation, proper diet & eliminating unhealthy habits (too much alcohol, withdrawal, too much sleep). Hope this helps!
Seeing a chiropractor may help manage physical effects of stress, such as muscle tightness and/ or headaches through adjustments, nutrition recommendations, and lifestyle advice. Seeking care from other professionals specializing in mental health strategies for managing stress may also be helpful.
That is a great question. I think we can all agree that stress is inevitable and there isn't much we can do about it aside from handling it better. That is where Chiropractic can help! If we have what are called subluxations (misalignments of the spine), it can cause muscles to become tight.
