I will have heart stent surgery. How long after heart stent surgery can I begin exercising?

You can start exercising in about a week, as long as the stent was placed for a blockage and not because of a heart attack. It is not possible to dislodge the stent with exercise. However, it is important to allow time for the access site to heal.
