Can high hemoglobin cause miscarriage?

I am 8 weeks pregnant and have high hemoglobin levels. Can high hemoglobin cause miscarriage?

Yes, unfortunately, polycythemia increases the risk of miscarriage and other pregnancy-related complications.
In theory yes, but for all practice, no. If there was a severe problem whereby the hemoglobin level was so high that it would obstruct blood flow, this is possible. But one would have to have severe lung or heart or blood problems to have such a level.
It may, either directly if the high hemoglobin seems to be a bone marrow issue or indirectly due to high blood pressure and restricting growth of the fetus. If you have been told that your hemoglobin is abnormally high, you should schedule appt with Hematology asap.
