Can laser eye surgery correct glaucoma?

I am a 61 year old male. I wonder if laser eye surgery can correct glaucoma?

Laser eye surgery such as selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) MAY help reduce eye pressure in glaucoma to help decrease the possibility of optic nerve damage from glaucoma, but it does not “correct” glaucoma. In those who have narrow angle with possibility of acute angle closure glaucoma, optic nerve damage, and vision loss, laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI) reduces this risk.
LASIK is not used to correct glaucoma. There is a special laser for patients that are being treated for glaucoma.
Yes, laser treatment can aid in the control of glaucoma. Laser vision correction does not usually make glaucoma better or worse.
Laser surgery is one treatment option to control eye pressure.

Hello, Various Laser treatments are available for certain types of glaucoma. This would require a thorough eye exam to determine what procedure would be indicated for any particular patient or condition.
