Can medications help with a cold?

My daughter has a cold. Can medications help with a cold?

1 Answer

1. When you first think you are starting to have a cold, take three doses of occilluscoccinum, each six hours apart, a homeopathic preparation. Sometimes it can totally stop a respiratory virus.
2. When you have a full cold, zinc, vit C , tylenol and lots of water is best. For a cough, guafinesin helps clear your lungs. Gargling with very warm salt water helps sore throats.
3. Read all the fine print on all over-the-counter cold meds, they may help for a while, but they don't shorten a cold. They may be very bad for you if have high blood pressure or some other chronic problems.
