Can occupational therapy help a child after a car accident?

My 4 year old child was in the car during a car accident but he was in a car seat. He has slight leg pain here and there. Can occupational therapy help a child after a car accident?

Hello,

Occupational therapy may not help. He should be be okay as long as he didn't fracture it or something. If he was in the car seat, then he most likely had an impact like bruise or muscle soreness, which should get better with them. Try giving him ibuprofen and see if it helps. Please also make sure that he was evaluated by a medical provider after the accident in person.
Occupational therapy helps in improving activities of daily living vs physical therapy that deals with particular injuries or conditions. It is important to find out the cause of the pain first
