Can prediabetes be reversed permanently?

I was diagnosed with prediabetes. Can prediabetes be reversed permanently?

Reversal of pre diabetes currently does not have a standard definition. Most experts consider an A1c of <5.7% without use of medication as pre diabetes reversal. Two interventions are very helpful:
-- DPP: or diabetes prevention program, offered by many YMCA facilities across the nation
-- Very low carb, high fat diet, popularized by Virta Health

Both of the above interventions are highly effective in reversing pre diabetes.
Pre-diabetes can be controlled with diet and exercise and lifestyle changes and certain medications but is always present.

Yes, with constant healthy diet and physical activity
Yes with diet and lifestyle
Permanently is too strong a word, but worth striving for. Lets say that with low carb diet, exercise and lifestyle changes (like no smoking, avoiding unnecessary steroids, and keeping physically fit), you can delay and possibly prevent its onset (of type 2 diabetes).
