I would have to see you first in order to correctly answer. Sometimes the answer is simple, sometimes it requires special attention, and sometimes the best route is removal and redelivery.
Hello,
It all depends on the severity of the infection. Depending on different factors such as extensive bone loss, soft tissue inflammation or mobility. With a oral exam we are able to establish a proper diagnosis and elaborate a treatment plan that provides the best outcome for your specific needs.

A dental implant infection can be serious and could lead to the removal of the implant. Actually the infection is in the surrounding gingiva (gums) and surrounding bone. Various dental cleaning methods, antibiotics, mouthwashes, and vitamins (such as vit. C) can sometimes alleviate the problem, and bone material can be sometimes used to help support the implant. Work with your dentist and follow the dentist's instructions. DENTIST
It depends on how infected the implant is. Typically, you will need to see a specialist called a periodontist for treatment of infected implants (implantitis), but depending on how much bone loss is present the treatment may not completely fix the problem. The implant may have to be taken out. You should definitely go to see a periodontist and find out what your options are.
