Can your neck being out of place cause dizziness?

I am a 37 year old female. I want to know if your neck being out of place can cause dizziness?

Yes absolutely. If the neck is out of alignment and causing aberrant proprioceptive sensory nerve messages to your Vestibular Nucleus in your Brain Stem, Vertigo and Dizziness result. If this is the case. Chiropractic adjustment to the neck can get to the cause of Dizziness. This treatment would come after a through consultation and examination with the patient who is suffering from Dizziness to accurately determine the likely cause.
Dizziness is a typical complaint that chiropractors see on a daily basis... Bones and the neck region can put pressure against the nerves directly or secondary to swelling in the joints if we can remove that pressure on the nerve the dizziness can be corrected.
Absolutely it can! Extra pressure on the soft tissue, nerves, and blood Nvessels from your neck vertebra being out of place can cause dizziness.
Yes. C1,2,3 should be looked at for adjustments.
Yes, it can - for several reasons. Dizziness (vertigo) has a few places that it can occur, and it can be nerve or structural in origin. If your neck has restricted motion in the joints, there may be pressure on the nerve structures that exit the spinal column - and this can lead to 'crossed wires' in your proprioception (a big word that means where your body experiences itself in space). If your proprioception is off, vertigo can result. If the restrictions are high up in the neck, they may place pressure on the 'brainstem', one of the major controllers of balance, and this can also cause vertigo. The inner ear is the major player though for balance. As we age (even at 37), we start to form crystals in the inner ear fluid. If these crystals do not stay in the lower part of the inner ear and move about, your sense of balance can be affected and make you dizzy. Have your chiropractor examine you, adjust what he finds, and if you still have dizziness, help you find the right treatment path for you specifically.

Yes, when the upper cervical spine is out of alignment, it can cause dizziness.
Yes your neck being "out-of-place" is often due to joint dysfunctions that occur as you induce movement through the spine. These joint dysfunctions play a role in the neuromodulatory function of nerve sensors located within the neck and upper neck that can cause dizziness. Thorough clinical evaluation is needed to determine the exact cause, and rule out any of the many other types of dizziness problems.
