“Coughing for 7 months”
7 months ago I caught a sinus infection from my 3 year old which eventually returned into some kind of walking pneumonia. My doctor has tried me on advair, amoxicillin, prednisone and I still have a productive cough. Chest xray showed inflamed bronchioles and I'm having a CT scan on Monday. What could this be? At this point I have no fever but I'm tired. Short of breath sometimes,.thick mucus when i cough. My doctor says she heard something strange in my lower right lung without anymore explanation. I'd just like some possibilities of what this could be.

Since it has been going on for 7 months, I would wait for the CT scan result and decide on whether you would benefit from a Bronchoscopy.
Differential diagnosis includes ABPA (allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis), hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Pertussis and RSV.
