Covid during early pregnancy?

I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I got a cold and cough. I did a rapid test and it is positive. I haven't started any medication yet. Is it dangerous getting covid positive during early pregnancy?

There's very little data on Covid in early pregnancy> If you have severe symptoms, there can be problems. You should follow u with your obstetrician.
I had to search online because the data is still unclear as this is an unpredictable and smart virus that continues to evolve despite incredible vaccination science. At the same time, we cannot be 100 percent sure the vaccine will also not cause a problem in fetal development. The American College of OBGYN currently recommends pregnant women accept the vaccine. High fever in the first trimester whether it is from covid or something else has been thought to cause birth defects. I wish I knew more about how to help you. If I had covid in my pregnancy I would do everything in my power to stay away from toxic exposures, from hair dye, bleach, chemicals, nail salons, and all places that could lead to problems for any pregnant female. We can’t protect our babies from everything but since we are moms we have to do our level vest to give our bodies the highest quality nutrition vitamins and support we can afford. You’re in my prayers. Just see a Maternal-Fetal Medicine consult in a few weeks and ask whether they know how to watch the development of your baby with respect to its rate of growth and ask if they need you after 28 weeks to do any kind of fetal heart rate monitoring.
