Covid vaccine side effects?

Hello, I am a female and turned 18 yesterday. I have a question about the side effects of the covid vaccine. Two days ago I got my first covid vaccine (biontech). The only side effects I since had are hip and thigh pain. I hope this doesn't come off like a weird question. I am diagnosed with a few mental disorders and I know my thoughts are sometimes very irrational but I am scared that the hip pain indicates that the vaccine changed the way my hips look, like the bone structure or I don't really know. I have body dysmorphia, which is why this is giving me so much anxiety. Please give me an answer if this could be true or just irrational thinking.

Thank you for checking in regarding your concerns following COVID immunization. While vaccines (any) can cause achiness local to the injection site or achiness generally, no vaccine would result in structural changes in your hips, other bones or in your joints. Feeling feverish or achy following an immunization is a sign that your immune system is responding to the vaccine. Use of medication like Tylenol or Ibuprofen can help reduce the discomfort.
I am glad you are taking care of your health. You should have received the vaccine in your arm. It is highly unlikely that the pain in your hip is from the vaccine. It can cause body aches, pain at the injection site, chills, or swelling of your lymph node in your armpit of the arm you got the injection. There is no way that the Covid vaccine caused your leg to be deformed. If the pain in your hip persists seek medical attention.

The answer is a straightforward " no. "
First, let me begin by saying that I am not a fan of the vaccine for 18 year olds. The risks may outweigh the benefits. However, having said that, I have never heard of the vaccine affecting the appearance of your thighs or anyone else's. This is likely related to your body dysmorphia, and I would seek treatment for the body dysmorphia such as psychotherapy and possible pharmacologic intervention. Specifically, CBT ( Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and SSRIs have been found to be useful in the treatment of your condition.
