Discomfort in lower right abdominal area?

Hi. About a month ago I felt something in my lower right abdominal area.

- absolutely no pain
- nothing protruding
- nothing visual on my skin
- no bumps

The only real thing I felt was discomfort knowing it was there. Now - current day (1 month later), it's still there with:

- still no pain
- nothing protruding
- nothing visual on my skin
- no bumps
- *I definitely feel it more now than I did a month ago.
- *feels like it may be a tiny bit larger

Best way to describe the feeling is like a "side ache". The kind of "side ache" you get after drinking water then going on a run.

Other things to note:

- I'm a healthy 46 yr. male.
- 5' 10" height
- 155 lb. weight
- athletic
- don't smoke
- haven't been sick in over a year
- normal bowel movements

I would be grateful for any insight and/or advice as to what this may be.

First thing to say is you need to see your PCP. If you don’t have one you need one. It could be a hernia, but it could also be something else. Go to PCP and take care.
Hi,

Try to see a local physician who will be more than willing to help you find out about your problem. A CT or MRI might be useful.
An ultrasound might be helpful. It’s impossible for a doctor to make a diagnosis without at least doing a physical exam. Please see your doctor.
