I want to straighten my teeth with braces. Do braces weaken your teeth?

No but you will experience slight mobility of the teeth and slight discomfort at first. Also you must have meticulous oral hygiene so you don’t get cavities!
No orthodontics do not weaken teeth, in fact they make them stronger by making them easier to clean and helping them to distribute forces better. That being said, if you don’t clean you teeth well while wearing braces, you run a higher risk of developing cavities because the braces will hold food close to the teeth. So make sure that you brush after every meal.
