Mood stabilizers can be helpful for anger and irritability
Hello,   Sorry that you are suffering from anger issues. As I am not a psychiatrist medicines are not my specialty so am not able to advise you on whether mood stabilizers will help. You need to consult with your primary care physician or psychiatrist about that. You can engage in emotional regulation and break the habit of knee-jerk reacting and replace it with thoughtful responding.  You can see a licensed psychologist that specializes in helping with anger and stress management and work on the issues that activate your anger so that you can heal from those wounds. You can also engage in self-help by reading some books like "Healing Anger" by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama or "Angry All the time: An Emergency Guide to Anger Control" by Ron Potter-Efron.  Another good source is "Stress Management Book: Practical Ways to Relax, be healthy and maintain your sanity" by Eve Adamson. Mahatma Gandhi said, "Anger is the enemy of Non-Violence".
Yes, often they do help with irritability and anger.
