Do they put you to sleep for varicose vein surgery?

I have varicose veins and want to treat them. Do they put you to sleep for varicose vein surgery?

No. I use local anesthesia for all of my varicose vein procedures. (lidocaine or xylocaine)
Most often, only local anesthesia is used.
Most procedures to treat varicose veins are minimally invasive and are performed under local anesthesia in an office setting. Rarely does treatment require general anesthesia and a hospital setting.
