I will have a vein ablation procedure. Do they put you to sleep for vein ablation?

No, they do not typically put you to sleep for vein ablation. The procedure is often done under local anesthesia or a combination of local anesthesia and conscious sedation. To learn more, connect with me at drjeromepuryear.com. Thank you!
I do not use general anesthesia for varicose vein procedures. I have patients take a mild sedative 2 hours before the start time, so they are relaxed, but awake.
