“Does a gum graft hurt?”
My dentist says I need to have a gum graft done and soon. I never really heard of this procedure before, but reading about it, I'm not really comfortable with getting it. Does a gum graft hurt?

Depending on extent of the work, source of graft (autogenous vs non autogenous) and the technique used, pain may vary. If a palatal stent is made in case of harvesting your own tissue, it can significantly reduce your discomfort, in addition to that analgesics are prescribed by your doctor to help alleviate your pain.
