Acupuncture is a great option to treat your chronic pain. Acupuncture can decrease inflammation, eliminate headaches caused by neck pain, loosen the muscles in your neck and decrease your pain.
Why not try. Of course it might... Western Medicine has declarative wording for diagnoses that can subject a patient to unneeded difficulty... Like the word 'chronic'. I've always seen improvement from acupuncture... Always.
I never claim that acupuncture "fix" anything. Like all natural approaches to health, it facilitates the body to heal itself. I do get good results when I treat neck pain, unless the issue is structural and in need of chiropractic or surgery. Even with those situations, it can act as an adjunct to treatment.
Acupuncture can help alleviate chronic pain. If a patient has a bone or spinal disorder, it might be difficult to cure the condition however if it is muscular, there is hope that acupuncture can provide permanent relief. Hi, It can definitely help with chronic pain. Acupuncture by nature has muscle relaxing qualities, in addition to pain relieving qualities. In cases of chronic pain, it is wise to do acupuncture in a series of treatments. Some clients choose to come twice a week in order to really "tap" into the cumulative effect that serial visits produces. I would advise you to try it and see!
It depends on the cause of the neck pain. I typically see a significant reduction in pain after 4-6 treatments. If the cause is due to tight muscles and posture it is easier to maintain the results, but if there is structural changes to the bones in the spine such as arthritis typically patients will need regular visits (usually monthly) to help maintain the pain reduction.
Acupuncture with massage and. herbs can treat and relieve your chronic neck pain gradually. The number of sessions will depend on the severity. I suggest you try it.
With acupuncture in pain conditions you're looking at 3 potential outcomes:
1. No change. Acupuncture has about a 5% non-response rate. At a population level roughly 5% of people will not respond to acupuncture treatment. This means that 95% of people will, so the odds are in your favor here.
2. After a series of treatments, the pain goes away and doesn't come back.
3. After a series of treatments, the pain goes down and will stay at the new, lower, level provided the patient receives periodic treatment. The treatment interval can vary wildly - I have some patients that I see every 4-6 weeks and some that I see every 3-6 months.
Which of these are you? No one has any idea prior to evaluation and treatment.

Acupuncture doesn't fix anything. What it does is help kick start and support own self healing process. Our bodies know how to heal themselves. Natural medicine is based on this principle.
