Thank you for your email. Im sorry to hear that you are experiencing disc herniation. Acupuncture is clinically very effective in reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, and reducing pain. That being said, every human body is different and no medicine works 100% of the time for 100% of patients. I do believe acupuncture is worth trying because it is a very safe, cost effective when compared to things like long term medications or surgeries, and very effective for most people. I have seen acupuncture reduce or eliminate pain. I can not say whether it helped heal the herniation as I did not get medical feedback longterm from doctors regarding patients.
Certain points can help the discs move back into place. I would check with your local practitioners to see if they know how to treat that.
