Yes. It does, but takes time.
Thank you for your email. Im sorry to hear that you are experiencing disc herniation. Acupuncture is clinically very effective in reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, and reducing pain. That being said, every human body is different and no medicine works 100% of the time for 100% of patients. I do believe acupuncture is worth trying because it is a very safe, cost effective when compared to things like long term medications or surgeries, and very effective for most people. I have successfully helped numerous patients presenting with patterns such as yours. Please let me know if you have any further questions. - Dr. Hallie OGorman
I have seen acupuncture reduce or eliminate pain. I can not say whether it helped heal the herniation as I did not get medical feedback longterm from doctors regarding patients.

Pain control but won’t change the disc position.
Yes, acupuncture does help disc hernia.
Certain points can help the discs move back into place. I would check with your local practitioners to see if they know how to treat that.
Acupuncture can definitely help with the pain that usually accompanies a herniated disc. In time, acupuncture can help reduce inflammation and promote a degree of local healing.
