Hello!
Acupuncture has been proven to be highly effective in reducing the symptoms associated with rhinitis. When you come in for an appointment, a full consultation would be done to figure out the underlying cause of your rhinitis in order to treat it best. Many times, patients will not only feel improvement with the rhinitis but also notice benefits in other areas of their life such as improved sleep or energy levels.

Acupuncture treatment has a very good record on helping patients with allergic rhinitis.
Here is a systematic review with some interesting conclusions about how effective is acupuncture for rhinitis:
Lee, M. S., Pittler, M. H., Shin, B. C., Kim, J. I., & Ernst, E. (2009). Acupuncture for allergic rhinitis: a systematic review. Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, 102(4), 269-279.

I would never claim that acupuncture can "fix" anything, but it can assist the body to heal itself. It accomplishes this by smoothing out imbalances that may be present and can take many treatments to do so. Unlike traditional medicine practices, acupuncture works on the body's timeline and you may not see immediate results, or any at all. In some cases, surgery or more invasive measures may need to be taken. But it depends on how long you have had this problem, how severe it is, and other therapies you may have tried in the past. As a practitioner, I do a detailed health history intake before seeing the patient which helps me to see what I am up against before deciding if I think acupuncture will work for each patient. So, there is no hard and fast answer, but if you contact an acupuncturist and explain your situation, he or she will give you a better idea. Thanks and good luck!
YES It can be very effective. However not all rhinitis are the same for everyone. Some cases may be used different approach. It all requirs to have consultation first to see and access your food habit, genetic, life style, envlironment and all that can attrlbute to your rhinitis condition not excluding viral and bacterial or fungal infection.

Acupuncture is very effective for rhinitis to clear the symptoms and to strengthen the immune system
Acupuncture can help for rhinitis but, as with most internal medicine concerns compared to pain (which is typically more acute and more easily measured) it can take time so patience with the process of a series of treatments is key. Herbs are also a primary line of treatment for rhinitis, so if you are willing to combine herbs and acupuncture you have an excellent chance of success. Give it a try!

Rhinitis is an allergic reaction in Western Medicine.
In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Rhinitis is seen as phlegm and or dampness in the body. For that, we treat the lung and spleen/pancreas meridians, along with excellent Chinese herbal formulas that will help you much for this condition.

Good evening, Thank you so much for your question and I’m sorry to hear that you’re dealing with rhinitis. Acupuncture can be very helpful for patients dealing with this condition, I have successfully treated many patients with the same concerns. In regards to how long it may take to see results, that varies for every patient. Your body is totally unique and may require more or less time than others being treated for the same thing. My general guidelines are that chronic issues (issues lasting longer than 3 weeks) can be expected to take anywhere from 12-15 treatments to see long-lasting results and we usually suggest sporadic maintenance follow-up visits to make sure the ailments do not return.

Acupuncturist
Usually, yes. Most importantly, since you are thinking about doing acupuncture, do find a qualified and real acupuncturist! Anything less would be you not really trying this system of healing. Find a fully trained professional in Chinese medicine, possessing a master's degree AND 5+ years experience in this field. Medical Doctors, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, and even Physical Therapists (dry needling) are able to do what looks like acupuncture (but isn't) with a couple weekends of training or less. I would NOT let any of these inadequately trained people NEAR ME. :-) Buyer Beware!
Yes, acupuncture can help with rhinitis, but your practitioner may also recommend some herbal formulas which can help tremendously, as well.
