Yes but it can return if the root cause of the problem is not addressed.
Hi,
Pericornitis is the inflammation of the gum tissue around the wisdom teeth. This inflammation can be caused by bacteria in which case an antibiotic would help.
I would encourage you to see your dental professional to accurately diagnose for proper treatment.

It can help the infection leave, but it is greatly enhanced with removal of the irritating bacteria through your hygienists cleaning.
NO! Periodontal disease is a chronic disease that needs to be treated by a dentist. Antibiotics are sometimes used in the course of treatment, but very rarely.
Yes, this will definitely help but you will need to treat the SOURCE of the problem to completely eliminate it.
Pericoronitis has many types ,so if reversible then the Antibiotics works ,other than that could the teeth need RCT or some surgical treatment.
Yes. Antibiotics provide temporary relief but either the third molar has to be removed or the gum tissue excised to provide permanent relief.
Hi!

This is a great question! Antibiotics will help temporarily, but will not eliminate the inflammation. We typically see this around wisdom teeth and the tissue around the tooth will continue to be inflamed until the wisdom tooth is taken out or the excess tissue is removed with a minor gum procedure.

Your dentist or an oral surgeon can evaluate the extent of the inflammation and decide what treatment is best tailored for you. Hope this helps!
