Extreme eye strain and new glasses?

Hello, 10 days ago I had new glasses. I have moderately high myopia and astigmatism in both eyes and I have worn the glasses all day during these 10 days that I have them. Near and far vision is fine but my eyes still feel super heavy and tired. Is this normal or should I be concerned? It is the first time in 5-6 years that I have had new glasses.

If after 10 days you have not adjusted to your new glasses, I would recommend returning to your eye doctor for a recheck. Sometime with a change in the glasses prescription we do not adapt to it and may need to have a small adjustment made to the prescription.
My suggestion would be to go back where you got the glasses and see if they can help you out.

You need to go back to your prescriber and have them recheck the RX and change it so that you can be comfortable.

It may take some time to adjust to a new prescription. But after a 10 day trial most people will have adjusted. Have the health care professional check the lenses to be sure that they are correct. No only the strength but also the positioning could be off.
Get your glasses checked again.
If you are still experiencing these symptoms after 10 days, you should return with your glasses to have the issue evaluated.
Sound like pretty common symptoms, may be useful to ask the dispensing doctor if there was a change in astigmatism or myopia.
If it is the right prescription but is a big change from what you are accustomed to you may be having difficulty. If it doesn’t get better soon you should see the prescriber for further evaluation.
