Fertility concern?

I have had anorexia since the age of 15 and I’m now 30. I have only had one or two periods at the age of 15 and none since. I was wondering what has happened to my eggs? Are they still released each month even if I do not have a period or are all the eggs that should have been released over time all still there? Or do they just die off? I am considering freezing my eggs until I manage to recover and restore my weight for the future.

Hi there, thank you for your question and concerns.
Certainly anorexia disorder will certainly disrupt your cycle with low estrogen that accompanies the disorder. Not withstanding, restoration of body weight reverses low estrogen state and restores your cycle in majority of cases.
Regarding your ovarian reserve i.e "how many eggs in store" is not certain. However, a blood work which is Anti-Mullerian Hormone aka AMH, could be drawn to determine its level and may give an idea of how much ovarian reserve you may have.
Kindly visit with your GYN/Primary care doctor to discuss this further.
