Psychiatrist Questions Psychiatrist

Head rush?

I suffer from health OCD, anxiety, and depression. I have for most of my life. I just had someone steal from my work- I didn’t feel nervous though. A few minutes later I was upright the entire time and felt a head rush that last maybe 2 seconds. Then I panicked internally. Cold sweaty hands and fear and trouble breathing from my chest from overthinking. Is this typical when you have anxiety? I also have sinus issues all year that causes imbalance during winter.

You probably have had treatment in the past. A combination of psychotherapy with medication is the way to go. You also should get a physical exam with blood tests to be sure all is OK in the physical department.
Appears like panic from report. Need to check out with provider.
Hi,

Thank you for your question. Yes, anxiety can cause a feeling of lightheadedness or head rush, as well as panic, sweaty hands, and difficulty breathing. I would recommend you seek professional mental health services for treatment.

I hope this has been helpful!

This is most likely a panic attack.
