Neurologist Questions

Headache

I am a 20 year old male. I am a freelancer for 3 years - I spend most of my day sitting in front of my laptop working and then I study and workout.

Recently - I have been getting these consistent headaches in different parts of my head which are like dull and sometimes throbbing pain. The pain comes and goes but is not severe. I would like to know what possibly can this pain be caused by and can this be related to brain tumors?

You may be experiencing eye strain tension type headaches. Migraine headaches are also a possibility. Highly unlikely due to a brain tumor, but cannot be 100% certain unless you have a scan of your brain. See your PCP  or see a Neurologist. If your headache is there all the time and you experience blurred vision,  weakness or numbness anywhere and or unsteady gait as well as projectile vomiting then go to the Emergency room and get checked out. Good luck. Dr. F Sent from AOL on Android
Very unlikely to be a brain tumor. The brain itself has no pain fibers. You can operate on the brain with the patient wide awake. So typically headaches are from things outside the brain, and outside the skull. Like muscle tension, eye strain, migraines and such. A Neurologist would need to know a lot more about them to figure out a cause: like do you get nausea or light and sound sensitivity with them, do they happen a certain time of day or a certain season or after a particular exercise. But a brain tumor?, from your description is unlikely. Leon Rosenberg
