Heart rate high?

I have micro valve prolapse. I live In extreme heat weather inland. Temps sometimes 3 digits. My heart rate climbs to 149 bpm. I’m afraid sometimes but must walk my little dog. What can I do to lower my heart rate? Also, have asthma.
