High blood pressure?

Yesterday my BP shot up to 210/140 with chest pain symptoms. I rushed to the ER and blood tests and chest x-rays were done. But the reports were clear, what should I do now to prevent and what was the possible reason behind this. I feel shortness of breath while eating and walking.

Hopefully they started you on a blood pressure medication. If not, see your primary doc right away to start treatment. Blood pressure that high can sometimes cause chest pain, even with a normal heart, but discuss with your provider. A screening stress test may be recommended.
