Hip Replacement

I had a hip replacement 2 years ago. Recently I have been getting some pain around my hip and in front of my thigh. The area is feeling cold but when I touch it, it feels normal. should I go back to my specialist?

Yes, I would suggest to follow up with your surgeon. Sometimes front pain in hip area can be tendinitis and he/she might prescribe PT after evaluation and X rays or advanced tests. Just to make sure that there is no major thing going on. Thanks
Yes, please return to the surgeon who performed the procedure . Expect repeat X-Rays. The answer may be simply due to the difference in the elastic properties of the implant compared to that of bone. Good luck. Richard Bruch, M.D. rich.bruch@gmail.com Mobile: 919-741-0990
Yes, you should make an appointment with your surgeon. I would recommend xrays with the visit.
