try to elevate the head of his bed and run a vaporizer at the head of his bed - maybe some vicks on his chest or just under his nose might help
It would be best to find out the source first. Always check with your son's pediatrician to see if it is allergy based. Perhaps a referral to an ENT may be in order. Are there any allergies in the house that may be contributing such as dust, pets, mold, etc. Medications may assist in decreasing the level of nasal fluids. Perhaps elevating the bed slightly at the head may assist with nasal flow but this all depends on your child's age and level of motor control. Try looking into holistic medicine as another alternative to see how to decrease the amount of nasal flow. Foods may be a trigger such as dairy or wheat allergies that are contributing to increased nasal flow. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance in the form of a consultation or direct service. I look forward to hearing from you.
