Neurosurgeon Questions Neurologist

How dangerous would it be to have a piece of glass stuck in my temporal lobe?

I want to know how dangerous would it be to have a piece of glass stuck in my temporal lobe? It has been there for 10 years, its a little under an inch in size, right in front of my ear.

I don't think it passed your cranium. It seems to be under the skin, that shouldn't cause any issues.
That is a question that is best asked to a neurosurgeon.

If it’s been there for 10 years and has never caused any problem, then it is most likely it never will. Moreover, it would be likely that surgery with the intent of removing it, would cause a lot more brain damage than just leaving it alone.
If it's been there for 10 years it probably will not be a problem. Have you had a follow-up with a neurologist? If so and everything is stable you should be ok. If not I suggest you see one to have them run some tests on you and make sure things are stable.
