OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Hpv

How do I know if I have HPV?

Recently, my boyfriend of 10 years spotted 2 spots on his penis. He went to his doctor and his doctor basically said he didn’t know if it was a mole or HPV as it was too small to take a sample. He seemed very unconcerned and just froze them off. I started to get concerned as we’ve been having unprotected sex for years.

I remembered I had a small bump at the base of my tongue near my tonsil for over 2 years. I went to the doctor for it 6 months after it appeared and they didn’t say it was anything or seem concerned. Then a year later I went to a different doctor who said it could be due to my chronic allergies and sinus issues and prescribed steroids. I went back 3 months later as the bump didn’t go away so he referred me to a ENT. As I was waiting for the referral call, I lost my job, so no insurance.

I have been worried constantly and decided to take a look inside my vagina. I noticed pink skin at the inside of the opening but honestly I’m not sure if it’s always been there as normal skin or a new growth. I go to my OB-GYN regularly and she had never said anything like “Did you know you have genital warts?” I just went in March and my pap was normal.

Here are my questions:
1. Does this look like oral HPV?
2. Would a Pap test for genital warts?
3. Would my OB-GYN let me know if she thinks she saw any warts?
4. Since my boyfriend and I have possible been exposed/had it for years, can we continue unprotected sex?

Hi'this looks more like a ulcer than HPV> Genital wats are detected by examination . If there is a lesion you can biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.
If your ob/gyn thought you had warts, she would tell you.
you can have u protected sex, but may pass the virus back and forth
