see your dentist and have the dentures adjusted and they can evaluate the sores in your mouth to see what medications are the best.
New dentures frequently cause abrasions and need to be adjusted by your dentist. I tell my patients to use a power adhesive (made for dentures of course) for the first few days to help the denture stay in place. After all, your tissues need a little time to adapt to the new prosthesis. Make sure to take your teeth out at night and soak them in room temperature water only. Also, only use products made for dentures and follow the directions. If you have a really sore area, discontinue wearing until you see your dentist. Finally, remember, dentures take time to get used to, and your mouth changes over time. You should continue to see your dentist at least yearly for an oral cancer screening and to check the fit of your dentures. At some point in the future, you will need a reline. Hope this helps!
Hu, You need to go see a dentist to determine the cause of the sores.
See the dentist to have the denture adjusted. Until your appointment, leave the denture out as much as possible.
