How long after tooth filling can I drink?

I am a 42 year old male. I want to know How long after tooth filling can I drink?

That depends on the type of filling material used. Tooth coloured fillings typically cure immediately so you can eat/drink right away. Silver amalgams general require 24 hours setting time, so you must avoid biting on them in that time. Good luck.

You may drink anything as long as you don't get it all over you while numb. This goes for composites and amalgams. Chewing is another matter. No chewing with amalgam for at least three hours. Chew anything with composite.
That's a good question. I'm going to assume you are getting a tooth-colored filling, and not the old-fashioned silver amalgam filling. Modern tooth-colored fillings are made of a composite material, which quite literally means it's made of several compounds. It's hardened chemically by the interaction of a catalyst in the filling material with blue-violet light which has a high energy level which causes the chemical to react and form the hard filling you use to chew on.
So the short answer to your question is that when you leave the dental office the filling is already hard- it is as hard as it is ever going to be. Dentists recommend that you defer from eating anything hard that you would have to chew not because the filling is still soft but because the "Novocain" may still be numbing your lip or tongue or cheeks and you could lacerate these while numb and not know it. So wait until the numbness is gone before you chew anything. Swallowing liquids or liquid foods like soup are preferable to eating hard foods that need to be chewed.
Right away if it is polymer filling.
Typically, it is fine to drink liquids immediately after the appointment. Depending on the extent of anesthesia, it can be difficult to drink, so you may want to use a straw.
You can drink or chew right after filling. If you have anesthesia, it may take 4-6 hours to have normal feeling.
There is generally no wait time after you have a filling before you can drink.
You can drink right away. I would not recommend chewing till your numbness goes away. Be aware that sensitivity to cold is normal within 48 hours, so avoid cold beverages for a day or two.
Hope this helps.
You can drink pretty much right after
