Nerves are finicky. It could be days, weeks, months or even years before they “heal.”
It depends on what the damage amounts to. Some nerve injuries are permanent, while others are reversible with healing over time dependent on the nature and extent of damage. Recovery of normal nerve function can take anywhere from a few months to slow and sometimes incomplete recovery over two to three years.
