Pediatrician Questions H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu)

How long do swine flu shots last?

Me and my kids got the swine flu shot last year. Do we need to get them again this year? If yes, why would we need to get them twice?

The flu shot only lasts for ONE flu season, and is geared for the major type of flu that comes around once a year. Thus, it needs to be repeated annually.
There was no swine flu vaccine last year or any other year except that year! Flu shots last the season and new renewal each year.
Flu shots are given each year, preferably before the flu season starts. There are new strains each year that hopefully will be in the vaccine you get for maximum protection.
