Hello!!! Thank you for sharing your question.

Your teeth are moving in your bone. This process requires your bone to become inflamed. Discomfort happens usually right after they are placed and any time they are adjusted, but can last up to 4 days.

You can consider biting on something to produce pressure like a thick straw to help relieve the pain. This signals your pressure nerves to be activated to mask the activation of your pain nerves.

Chamomile also helps reduce inflammation. It comes in the form of tea, dissolvable tablets, and granules. Make yourself some tea and relax. You are doing great! Be proud of yourself that you decided to go through orthodontic care.

Good luck! Wishing you a good health :)

You may experience discomfort for a couple more days up to a week.
You may take 1000 mg of Acetaminophen every 6 hrs as needed if you are not allergic to help you overcome the discomfort.
Also be mindful to avoid crunchy, chewy and sticky foods.
It usually lasts a few days and will then subside. The first few days are the most pressure on the teeth for movement. Each time the wire is tightened or color bands are changed it might be a little uncomfortable. What you are inquiring about is normal.
It varies with the individual. Expect 1-2 weeks to adapt.
U would have to check with the dentist who put them on as we do not put regular braces.thanks
