Dentures can be delivered on the same day as the extractions. There are many variables that need to be evaluated. How many teeth were extracted, was the ridge altered, were the flaps trimmed and sutured. If an immediate denture was done a real line will be needed in two months
1-3 months

It should only take several weeks for the gums to heal after extractions but it will take several months for the bone to remodel after the extractions.

Usually, it would be a minimum of two weeks of healing before your dentist can start the process of making the denture. The first step is Impressions. The more healed the soft tissue is, the more accurate that the impressions will be and therefore the better the denture will fit. So, something like 4-6 weeks before impressions is more ideal after extractions. You can have a temporary denture made for immediate placement on the day of extractions. But this denture will probably have to be replaced later with a denture fabricated once the ridge/soft tissues have healed.
The initial healing usually takes about 2 weeks. This is when sutures are removed. However, over the course of 4-6 months your jaw will undergo significant changes. Some dentists will recommend not making your dentures until these changes have occurred while other will make an initial set of temporary dentures followed by permanent dentures in 4-6months.
it takes 5-7 days for a soft membrane to form over the extraction site, and it usually takes another 4-6 weeks before the gums completely heal over the hole. Then, the bone can take up to 6-12 months to regenerate in the extraction site.
