There isn't an amount of time per se. It all depends on the patient's progress with therapy and how deep the social trauma is.
It will depend on the dynamic relationship with your therapist. Remember, it could be a team of professionals to treat you.
Hello!

It depends on the severity of your symptoms. Typically a treatment plan is for 12 weeks and then re-evaluate if the patient needs additional treatment.
Hello Sir,

Sorry to hear you suffer from Social anxiety. Re. your question "how long does therapy take for social anxiety?" there is no simple answer as one shoe does not fit all feet nor does one suit fit everyone. The licensed psychologist you see will have to do a thorough evaluation re. the origin of the social anxiety and triggers and what maintains it. It also depends on the approach they take for therapy, whether CBT, Rogerian therapy, Hypnotherapy, Exposure Therapy, etc. Also, number of sessions will depend on your motivation to engage in given assignments. So, there are many factors involved. In case you are located in FL, IN, or IL give me a call.
Take care and remain safe.

It is hard to give a concrete number. I typically ball park about 12 sessions. It could take longer or shorter. It is more important to find the right therapist. Therapy will challenge you and perhaps create some uncomfortableness to get you better.
