usually until the next day
"Toxic release", I am unsure what you mean by this term. There are gases that the joint capsule may release during the manipulation/adjustment treatment which can cause cavitation (joint cracking/popping) of the joint. Usually, release of that gas is relieving to the joint/area of manipulation. At times if the joint capsule is very tight and stiff you can have much soreness associated with the chiropractic manipulation/adjustment. That soreness typically last 1-2 days post-treatment.
This can take a couple of days to clear, assuming you drink a lot of water and eat your daily recommended amount of fiber.
Possibly one to 3 days.
