I will have gallbladder removal surgery. How long is a hospital stay after gallbladder removal?

If the procedure is scheduled (done electively) most patients will go home the same day. If the procedure is done urgently or emergently, most patients will go home the day after surgery.
Normally 1-3 days but can be longer if they were complications or there is obesity or other comorbidities.
This is best addressed by a surgeon, but most laparoscopic gallbladder surgery patients are sent home within 1-3 days if there are no complications.
