“How long is my son going to stay in the hospital for his appendectomy?”
My son is going to have an appendectomy soon, and I was just wondering how long would he need to stay at the hospital after the surgery?

Most children who do not have a perforated appendix will go home directly from the recovery room. If the appendix is perforated, it can be variable; however, most go home with in 2-3 days
Typically this is day surgery or perhaps a one night stay
