Intensive care therapy is 6-8weeks,
Long term therapy varies based on what the insurance covers.
It depends on if this is a child or adult.
Have them get a second opinion, it is often misdiagnosed. The rate of progress will be determined by multiple factors, the severity of their ADD, genetic and biological considerations and their willingness to implement various changes in their daily life, that may include things such as dietary changes, exercise and adding more structure to their daily routine. So sorry.... I can't give you specific information on length of time because of these different factors. There are many resources out there for people who struggle with ADD / ADHD.
Therapy looks different for everyone. For some, short-term treatment is best. However, for others, therapy can be ongoing. There are a lot of factors to consider, which will determine the need for psychotherapy. Please feel free to reach out to me directly with further questions. Take care.
Hello, Because there are varying degrees of ADD, and some people are on medication that is effective for them, while others do not take medication, and some people are more receptive to therapy/ counseling than others, there is no way to put a time frame on the course of treatment for ADD. Age matters, too! An adult is much more likely to have a shorter plan of treatment than a child. There are very few absolutes when it comes to mental health, but I hope this helps!
Hello-- ADHD is the professional term. There are 3 types. ADD has since been absorbed into that spectrum of ADHD.

With that said, there is no end date. ADHD is learning how to manage the symptoms that come with the type this person was diagnosed with. As I am assuming it's an actual diagnosis. But it's a life long learn, success, fail and repeat life.
There is no length of time that can be applied to treatment. My work focuses on giving you tools and strategies while clearing away past pain and trauma. Sending you much love and joy
The length of time a person is in therapy for ADD will be different for each client. However, Once a client is able to manage their ADD and it no longer impacts their ability to function daily typically they no longer need therapy for ADD. ADD maintenance therapy has proven to be beneficial in helping clients as they grow and may change or experience life transitions. New skills may be needed to match the changing needs of the client.
Therapy for ADD goes for a few months. How long therapy lasts will depend on your friends' goals. Types of therapy used to treat ADHD range from dialectical behavioral therapy to mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. Treatment for adults with ADHD will look a little different than treatment for children with ADHD.
