How long should your jaw hurt after a filling?

After my dental filling, my jaw is hurting intensely. How long should your jaw hurt after a filling?

Not necessarily to hurt you. Could take some time after the anesthesia goes away but in general no specific time, short time not long.
Normally, your jaw should not be hurting after a filling. Give it a couple of days. If it still persists, you should see your dentist to figure out the reason.

Jaw discomfort after any dental work is usually caused from opening the mouth for long periods of time. Your jaw can be sore but generally you should not have pain. Recommend to do warm compresses, massage the jaw, and take ibuprofen as needed.
There might be some discomfort around the infection site for one or two days, otherwise the jaw should not hurt after a filling. The tooth may hurt for a while after a filling and sometimes needs a root canal if the filling came very close to the nerve. If the jaw or tooth hurts after a filling call your dentist.
Have it checked out by your dentist. It is not normal.
Maybe the injection site feels sore and if so perhaps for a day or so only.
