How long till I get blood test results?

I will have a blood test for STDs. How long till I get blood test results?

Usually the STD results are reported by the pathologist in 24 to 48 hours. Now cultures have to be performed and depending on what you are looking for is the time of incubation for the microorganism. Example: Chlamydia & Gonorrhea testing can be performed in 1-5 days after you have been exposed. Syphilis can be performed within three weeks after exposure. Trichomoniasis 5-28 days. Herpes (HSV-1 and HSV-2, 28 days after exposure. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), 18 - 45 days after exposure. HIV - RNA, 28 days after exposure. Ureaplasma/Mycoplasma 1-3 week after exposure. Hepatitis B antigen 2 -4 week after exposure. Hepatitis C 8 - 11 weeks after exposure. Hepatitis C RNA 2-3 week after exposure. So, depending the test and when it was taken, the results could be negative or positives. when we have a no growth in our culture, another test may be required because maybe it was too early to be tested. Thank you.
