How long will my knee hurt after arthroscopic surgery?

I am a 47 year old female. I want to know how long will my knee hurt after arthroscopic surgery?

It can hurt 4-12 weeks later or longer. Consult a Functional Medicine and PT/OT for optimal healing.
It varies from patient to patient depending on your level of pain tolerance, the extent of the procedure, and the presence of arthritis in your knee. However, most patients can walk immediately after surgery and can return to a sit down type job in a few days. Your knee will be sore for 2 to 4 weeks.

Hope it helps!!

Pain is variable after the surgery. This partially depends upon exactly what was done. If a larger scale surgery such as a ligament reconstruction is performed you might have pain for a few days up to a a few weeks. If it’s more of a minor type procedure with only small incisions then you might have pain for a couple of days to a week. And in either setting the majority of the significant pain that a patient has, if any, is in the first few days after surgery.Obviously everybody’s pain tolerance is different. It is not uncommon for patients to have some mild dull achy pain even a few weeks out from surgery.
This depends upon the extent of the surgery. This is best answered by the surgeon performing the arthroscopy.
