Number of sessions needed for nerve pain treatment would vary from person to person, based on whether the pain is acute or chronic condition, as well as other factors such as age, and lifestyle.
The prognosis for hand nerve acupuncture is dependent on how long the nerve pain has been there as well as how well the patient responds to the acupuncture. Generally speaking good progress should be felt within 5 visits whereas for a chronic condition it may take twice as many visits & more frequently together to get the same affect. Always check with your primary physician to see if alternative medicine would be a good choice. - Live Happy, Michael
This really depends. This is not a fixed # of session. You should be seen and diagnosed first in order for this question to be properly answered. As for hand never pain, it's important to understand the cause, duration, frequency, and type of pain (tinkling, dull, or sharp) in order to properly assess the issue you may have for the hand nerve pain.
Acupuncture, combined with massage and herbs, can help relieve nerve pain gradually.
4 treatments for every year of the problem
it depends, sometimes just 1 treatment sometimes 5 - 15 treatments depends on what is going on, and many other factors
I always recommend 12 sessions to equalize energy in 12 meridians.

That depends on the patient's health/constitution and what is causing the pain.
Hand and foot nerve pain often take a while to affect, but be patient. Most of the time it can really make a difference.
It depends on individual, normally to say it may take 6-8 sessions.
Nerve pain can sometimes be tricky to treat, so I'd expect something nearer the upper limit of a normal course of therapy. Something like 8-10 treatments, possibly more depending on what, exactly, is the cause.

If the nerve damage is from diabetes or is a result of previous surgery, you could be looking at a lot more treatment.
