How many implants do you need for full dentures?

The answer depends on what you need. If you have a full denture that's just loose, then 2 or three implants can work nicely with it. If you want a new denture, with the palate open, you can use 4-6 implants to support an overdenture. All this depends on your bone availability for the placement of implants. We use a cat scan to determine available bone. A quick scan can tell all!

Six implants per arch is the ideal minimum. Old school of thought was two,
then it went to four and now is six. It’s insurance in case one implant
fails there will still be enough support and biting forces spread between
the other implants.
