Wear your shield to protect against inadvertently rubbing your eye. This precaution is usually only for a week or two.
Normally
If you're talking about LASIK surgery, sleep with a protective shield over your operated eyes for 1 week. Positioning does not matter.
You can sleep comfortably in any position that doesn't involve rubbing your eyes
With protective goggles on. For at least 10 days after surgery, a protective shield or visor is acceptable as well. Steven Vale, M. D. President & Medical Director Acuity Laser Eye and Vision Center And InterMountain Eye Associates, P.C. Office:(877)520-EYES Email: svale@acuitylaservision.com
