I am a 52 year old female. I want to know how soon after hip surgery can I take a long car ride?

Please discuss with your surgeon. I would advise to complete PT/OT first and make sure to walk every 1-2 hours when taking that long car ride. You are at a very high risk for a blood clot. I would recommend waiting at least 6 months for PT optimization.
